I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Johnson family in the heart of Historic Downtown Salisbury, and let me tell you—this spot is full of charm, character, and the kind of little corners that practically beg to be photographed.
We kicked things off on the steps of the old bell tower, which gave us the perfect mix of elegance and history (and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of those dramatic stone steps).
From there, we wandered over to this beautiful stretch of white flowers that looked like something out of a fairytale—light, airy, and the perfect backdrop for those in-between giggles and glances.
We wrapped things up in a cozy little area lined with café tables and chairs, and just overhead? The dreamiest string lights you’ve ever seen, giving everything that soft, glowy finish I live for. It felt like we stumbled into a European courtyard, only better because we had real connection and joy happening right in front of the lens.
I love shoots like this—where the location, the light, and the people all work together to create something that feels effortless and beautiful and just a little bit magical. Downtown Salisbury, you’ve got my heart.
