This session was such a joy from start to finish! We began our shoot at the historic courthouse in downtown Charlotte—its timeless architecture made the perfect backdrop to highlight each family member’s unique personality. I made sure to capture moments that showcased who they are individually and together, from sweet smiles to playful glances.


Just steps away, we discovered a gorgeous, towering tree that felt like it was meant to be part of this session. The kids were full of energy and love, and I couldn’t resist letting them run, play, and just be themselves. It was the perfect setting to document their sibling bond and how much joy they bring each other just by being together.


I also made it a point to capture some solo portraits of mom—because let's be real, single moms are superheroes, and they deserve to be seen and celebrated. Her warmth and strength shined in every frame.


We wrapped up the session on top of a parking garage right in the heart of Charlotte. As the sun set behind the skyline, it gave us the dreamiest golden hour light to close out our time together. This shoot had everything: heart, laughter, and the beauty of downtown all rolled into one.
